Caring
In 1991 I completed a BTEC course in Caring. The course covered areas of child care and adult care and the relationship of these caring jobs to the community as a whole. I got Distinctions, the highest grade on a BTEC. Soon the government will have made it so that no-one even remembers that the BTEC certificate ever even existed. It will be like polytechnics or the manufacturing industry or calling a person "mister". Ah well..... Y'know, I still read Langston Hughes.
I feel like it's important for there to still be somebody who cares. BTW Ambit Magazine is gone now. You probably don't know that. Or maybe you do. I know there are still people who care. People who really do care about the quality of life in this world. People who care about people and about animals and about the environment. People who care about literature and art. People who care about decent behaviour and honesty and truth and the quality of education.
You are out there somewhere.
If they haven’t “streamlined” you out of existence.
